Summer Enrichment

GPA’s Summer program will provide academic enrichment, language learning and fun themed activities during the months of June & July.

Below are the details:
June Theme: Science = Astronomy & Math = Problem Solving (word problems & operations)
July Themes: Engineering / Technology = Robotics & Programming


  • 8:30am – 10:30am: Academic Enrichment using Summer Skills (mixed-skills format – focusing on math and language arts). 

  • 11:00am – 12:00: Spanish (June & July); Mandarin (July) 

  • 12 noon: LUNCH 

  • 12:30 – 3:30: Fun themed activities 

  • 4:00 – 6:30pm: After summer school enrichment – Theme: The Arts (music, dance, arts/crafts & acting/improvisation). Optional private music and dance lessons will also be available.

During the summer months, students will be participating in a competitive reading and math challenges. They will be rewarded at the end of summer. 

  • Math Challenge:
    Preschoolers = counting & basic addition/subtraction operations o Elementary = addition/subtraction/multiplication memorization

  • Reading Challenge:
    Preschoolers = phonics / sight words / beginner reading o Elementary = book reading & book summary reports 

  • All participants Kindergarten grade level and above must submit payment for the required materials and book fees: $100 

  • All Preschoolers (ages 18 months – 4 years) must submit the payment for the required materials fee: $50 (no later than May 1). 

  • If you would like your child to participate in the summer school field trips (every other Friday, please submit payment for the City Passes: $75 per child). City Passes include admission into the following:

    • Georgia Aquarium; World of Coca-Cola; Inside CNN Studio Tour 

    • Choice Ticket 1: Zoo Atlanta OR Center for Civil and Human Rights

Choice Ticket 2: Fernbank Museum of Natural History (includes special exhibitions and IMAX film) OR College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience

  • Each field trip will require a $10 contribution per child to go towards transportation. Students must also pack a healthy lunch, drinks and snacks. 

  • Students will be required to wear the teal colored logo'd GPA uniform shirt on every field trip / school outing. 

  • Non-GPA students must submit an online summer registration application and pay the required fees (registration fee = $50 and materials & book fees = $100). Non-GPA students will be charged $185/week for the regular day (8:30am – 3:30pm), and an additional $50/week for families seeking before and after care (3:30 – 6:30pm). 

  • Fridays are “Fun Days”. Children will either participate in a field trip or enjoy water fun outside (weather permitting).
